SUKKUR: PPP MPA Dr Nasarullah Baloch has welcomed the support by the Consul General of China Zhang Jianxin for the flood-hit people of the province at this critical juncture.
While talking to APP here on Monday, he said that China has always supported Pakistan as a good and trustworthy friend and their relationship is growing with the passage of time, and its leadership supported Pakistan to achieve regional stability also.
He lauded the sympathy by the Consul General of China for the huge loss of life and public property due to the heavy rains in Sindh, which he said that the people of China were with the people of Pakistan in their hour of trial.
The MPA said that China is time tested and close friend of Pakistan and several projects are being completed with the help of Chinese experts and thanked the contribution of Rs400,000 by his staff of the Chinese consulate which presented to the Chief Minister (CM) Sindh on Sunday.
He also appreciated his statement which Mr China Zhang Jianxin said that the government and the people of China would extend their assistance to help Pakistan deal with the situation as a token of solidarity with the flood-affected people.
He said thousands of Chinese are engaged in different enterprises in Pakistan and playing important role in improving trade and economic relations between the two countries.
He also spoke about the all-weather and time-tested friendship between Pakistan and China and emphasised that the relationship between the two countries got tremendous boost during the period of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Premier Zhou Enlai during the leadership of Chairman Mao Zedong.
